Families across Broward County are invited to enjoy an afternoon of music, food, art, and community connection at Party on the J, a neighborhood festival happening on Sunday, February 1, 2026, along Johnson Street (between 58th and 59th Avenues) in Hollywood.

From noon through the afternoon, families can stroll the street, enjoy live performances, sample delicious food, and meet local small businesses and vendors — all in a relaxed, welcoming area perfect for parents and kids alike.

Beginning Balloon Education Series

Join Lenor Ryan, CBA for a series of 3 balloon classes, she will be sharing her

knowledge and best practices techniques and small business operations.

This series is for begining balloon artists striving to learn techniques through

hands on, face-to-face classroom setting. This series will be 3 days of

training (one day per month) which will give you time to practice what you

have learned. Join us for one class or all three, it's up to you. It starts with

balloon basic decoration techniques, knowlege of how to price for a profit

and skills to replicate designs and create designs from balloon recipes.

Different balloon styles will be taught from classic, organic and twisted and

many skills in between.

Hollywood FL – Lenor Ryan , owner of Lights Camera Selfies was chosen as part of a talented team of international balloon professionals tasked with creating a gigantic, immersive balloon creation with Qualatex balloons at the Balloon Wonderland event in Orlando, Florida, all in aid of the charity Give Kids the World.

Nearly four hundred balloon artists will join at the Hyatt Cypress Regency Hotel in Orlando from July 11 ^th through July 15 ^th , 2022 for Balloon Wonderland. In being part of this event, one of the largest, most unique balloon projects, Lenor will be using her skills she has developed over the last 5 years to create several fantastical themed areas such as Toyland, the Enchanted Forests, Dinosaur Land and Under the Sea in an area of nearly 30,000 sq. ft, with displays towering as high as 24ft in height. Lenor has been selected to serve on the Dinosaur Land team.

If you’re like most people, your New Year’s Resolution list included items like losing weight, exercise more, save more money and spend more time with friends and family. As a business owner, you may have added get organized, read more leadership books and grow your business. Most likely, however, you didn’t add ‘Update my headshot’ to your list – a mistake that could cost you in the coming year.

The use of images has become more important as society has become more dependent on the internet. Regardless of the need, most people turn to their mobile device or computer for the solution. Lenor Ryan of Lights Camera Selfies recently earned Certified Balloon Artist (CBA®) status. Lenor is one of a select group of balloon professionals who successfully completed a series of tests, including oral and practical examinations. The certification was administered by the Qualatex Balloon Network (QBN®), a professional organization dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in balloon decor and bouquets. Under the watchful eyes of balloon professionals Eve Antonello, Education Development Manager of Pioneer Balloon Company and Dante Longhi, Balloon Instructor at Qualatex and owner of Dream Factory Balloons of NJ. There are currently more than 2,000 Certified Balloon Artist professionals worldwide.

“The education and experience with techniques I’ve received as a result of pursuing my CBA designation will be invaluable in helping me to provide high-quality, professional balloon design and services to everyone in the South Broward market and the surrounding area,” said Lenor Ryan.

To achieve certification, CBA candidates are expected by QBN to:

1. Satisfactorily complete a series of written exams.

2. Apply knowledge of skills and techniques by designing and building professional, classic balloon deliveries, arrangements, and decor.

3. Demonstrate their understanding of design theories, delivery techniques, and business systems through an oral presentation to a panel of industry leaders.

Participants in the CBA Practical Exams are graded according to their knowledge of theory as well as the application of key design elements. Today marks an exciting day for Lights Camera Selfies : we’re officially launching a new brand identity for our small company.

While we’re excited to unveil our new logo, look, and feel, a brand encompasses so much more. It’s the sum of everything from our products and services, to how we engage with our customers, to how our customers feel when they think or talk about our company. We are delighted to showcase our new logo on our new website !

We’ve made tremendous progress on all of these fronts over the past few years. We added new balloon services and expanded our photo booth services to offer a 100% hands-free option to keep everyone safe during this pandemic. We strive to evolve as the day-to-day situations continuously change. And it was time for our brand to evolve, too.

One thing hasn’t changed: our core mission. We’re relentlessly committed to building successful, seamless and memorable events.

What Does It All Mean?

As we set out to redesign our branding, we wanted to match our visual identity with our overarching mission to create joy in our events. Conveying brand identity visually is the foundation for any successful brand, especially in today’s online world.

Here are the key ideas we want our brand to embody:

Customer Focus: our new look needed to convey excitement and innovation for a variety of clients from a first time bride to a corporate event coordinator working on her tenth trade show.

Ease of Ordering: Since day one, we’ve wanted working with us to be easy and for all the T’s to be crossed and all the I’s dotted. With a new website and local office, we are able to serve customers that want to communicate online and those who enjoy face-to-face meetings and interactions.

Pivoting and Scale: Lights Camera Selfies has pivoted significantly since our previous brand was conceived. With our new brand, we wanted to illustrate the momentum and skills we’ve established.

Fixing Flaws

While a rebrand represented a chance to align our look and feel with the change of products of our company, it was also a chance to address some flaws in our old logo.

Some matters to improve included:

The old logo was first created to represent a hashtag, which at the time was unique and fun. Now with SEO it’s difficult to search our company name on the web.

Set up as a hashtag, without spacing between the words made it difficult to scale down to smaller sizes.
As we pivoted during the pandemic to more of a party entertainment company, the original font was too serious for our new look.
The variety of our services wasn't represented by a single color logo.

The Process

So how did this all come together? We started by reviewing our core values, attributes and feeling that we wanted our brand to stand for. You may be thinking to yourself - how important are logos to creating a brand? For marketers, they’re the base on which the entire rest of the brand is built. So the precise colors, look and words are critical. We knew we needed to land on the perfect tag line and colors if we wanted our brand to convey who we are and how we aim to project fun and excitement as a company.

After much debate and a long process of elimination, we chose:

We then reminded ourselves the brand needs to project our core product promises – successful, seamless, and memorable. They represent the guiding light of everything we do.

Pulling It All Together

After thinking through our core mission, the growth of the company, our community, and the values we stand for, it was time to bring everything together.

So why did we decide on this new look?

Colors and look are memorable. When it catches your eye, it reinforces our name.
The flash and balloon, simple, yet effectively conveys photo booth and balloons.
The main font is modern and clean, while still being creative. The secondary
font shows movement and fun, true to the nature of our key services.
By using a line and a heart - two basic shapes – it’s showing forward movement
and love.

Using four fresh colors shows our flexibility. It’s a fun variety of colors - not confined to a single choice. We now have many colors to showcase the diversity of our designs, services, customers, and our dreams.

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in our story, but it’s still just the beginning. With this new foundation in place, we plan to launch a new event service. Later this year as the pandemic is in our rearview mirror, we hope to reap the benefits of these changes. We can’t wait to bring to life all the amazing ways we are transforming and growing in our creative abilities!

Give the Class of 2022 A Surprise in Their Yard

Class of 2021 has little normalcy, but in 2020 a new tradition started of hosting yard cards in front of their homes.

The Class of 2021 has missed more than half of their senior year due to COVID-19 and, there’s little hope activities will return to normal before graduation.

Many seniors feel they are missing out and all they can do is accept it and keep moving forward. Some of this year’s seniors also are a little jealous of all the classes before them. Many parents along with the seniors are disappointed to miss out on their child’s senior year milestones.

Despite the many disappointments, we encourage you to pick a senior in Broward County and adopt them for the year end celebrations. You can send them a small gift to help them with supplies they need for college or starting their next step of their life. Some other fun elements would be a balloon party pole to show the neighbors that they are graduating this year.
